Hi all!
After just fixing my previous issues with getting xcompmgr to play nice with GNOME + Openbox [http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=72690], I have now encountered a new problem.
The drop-shadows of all windows work fine, with the exception of terminal shadows which trail after the window, and do not disappear like they should ( See screenshot )
All other shadows seem to be working as they should...
I have google a bit around, and the problem does not seem to be unique to my case, but I can't seem to find a solution..
Anyone know what might cause this?
Jon

It seems that the error also occurs when opennig the settings dialog for the Avant Window Navigator, and for the ROXTerm terminal.. Do they have anything in common?

I seemed to have solved the problem by doing the following:
1) killall xcompmgr ( This will minimize all your windows, so just Alt+Tab back to terminal )
2) sudo pacman -R xcompmgr
3) yaourt -S xcompmgr-dana
4) Log out and then back in
I now don't get any shadow at all on the terminal, but everything else works, so I'm happy..
Hope the official xcompmgr release will soon fix this issue..

I was always under the impression that there was no current xcompmgr development. It will probably never be fixed, unless someone hacks on it.

Hmm.. That's not very good..
I have some other shadow issues as well (for example, I get a shadow when I highlight text and drag it... ) which I had hoped would be fixed..
Any other good composite managers beside Compiz/Beryl which are a bit too extravagant for my taste..?
