i updated glibc to 2.10.X and the computer fails to resolve hosts
replacing back glibc (and binutils) solves the issue
i tried to add "options single-request" in resolv.conf. this did not help (the file is overwritten when dhcpcd is run again)
i look for other solution that fulfills
- i dont have to install additional software to overcome (glibc + my router)'s fault
- i dont have to reconfigure my router
- if i take the computer to another location (with another broken router) it will work exactly as if i used the previous glibc (or work better) - no aditional configuration on the arch box or on the router
i use dhcpcd 3.X (4.X and 5.X dont work satisfactory for me) and a common 'broken' router (thomson speedtouch 510) provided by my isp
