Dell Inspiron 1525n Fan problem

For some time now (maybe a month or so) I noticed that the fastest fan speed doesn't turn on when the cpu exceeds 50C. Today was the first time I paid attention to the temps when doing a video edit and both of my cores reached 95C due to the low fan speed. I tried using i18kctl to control fans, but it just doesn't respond. Rebooted the PC while it was hot and entered BIOS. While I was fooling around, the fans didn't switch to faster speed. I am clueless what to do. I tried using gkrellm with the i18k plugin as suggested here, but the settings I apply have no effect over the fan (although there should be?)
Could the problem be in the BIOS... (I haven't updated it, just asking...)

Re: Dell Inspiron 1525n Fan problem

Also gkrellm reports the left fan always to have speed 0 and the right - 9000
also:

[root@lightbringer dheart]# cat /sys/devices/virtual/thermal/cooling_device0/cur_state
0
[root@lightbringer dheart]# cat /sys/devices/virtual/thermal/cooling_device1/cur_state
0
[root@lightbringer dheart]# cat /sys/devices/virtual/thermal/cooling_device2/cur_state
0

When there is clearly noise from fan.

My Inspiron is working fine (except for the 'on' led that emmits only a very weak light). Maybe it's some kind of hardware problem?

Well I also tthought of that... Maybe I'll bring it to service some day... Or try installing Windows on USB stick just to verify the issue.

Re: Dell Inspiron 1525n Fan problem

Just tried Dell Diagnostics
It reports that everything is fine, however I don't think so... I think I remember back in the summer, that under high load the cpu temp was around 60 C. Now it's above 70 with the same cpu intensive apps.
Could an owner of this notebook just confirm their CPU temperatures after 20 minutes of high load (Video editing for example)
