pseudo dual-core?[SOLVED]

For some reason my single core Intel Atom N280 is being detected as having two cores, while it bears but one. Screenlets widgets are even showing different percentages of usage for both "cores".

Re: pseudo dual-core?[SOLVED]

My N270 shows up as two cores. While it is single core it does support hyperthreading which appears as two cores to the os. I'm guessing the N280 is the same.

Re: pseudo dual-core?[SOLVED]

That was actually what I was guessing. CPUZ in windows said two threads, so I figured it was confused. Thanks for confirming it.

C'mon, you paid for one core, you got the second free and you're complaining? Can't do good to those people ;-)

Re: pseudo dual-core?[SOLVED]

I wish I could upgrade to a dual core, but I have a feeling my netbook bios wouldn't allow it.
