Re: Whats wrong with my cmus menu?

What terminal are you using? If it's rxvt-unicode (urxvt), I had/have what seems to be a similar problem.

Re: Whats wrong with my cmus menu?

When are people going to stop using imageshack ?
It's disgusting..

Re: Whats wrong with my cmus menu?

sorry Im not really a savy image poster neutral But yes I am using urxvt as my terminal. I was having a problem with commands that were to long and they would overlap the PS1 instead of continuing on the next line. A friend in IRC helped me out with escape sequence's around the color codes. So i know thats not the problem. Any suggestions?

Re: Whats wrong with my cmus menu?

Try running cmus with TERM=rxvt. Example:

TERM=rxvt cmus

Re: Whats wrong with my cmus menu?

Chance cmus' settings to not change the term title, and that should fix it I believe.

Re: Whats wrong with my cmus menu?

i know i'm a little late on this one, but it seems the ^L command (redraw the terminal window) will fix the problem. at least, it fixed mine and it seemed to be the same one.

my question then is, how do i go about telling cmus not to try to change the terminal title? the man page says several times that some terminals don't support the change, but doesn't mention what to do to stop it >_<

EDIT: don't worry, i found it. it's the boolean 'set_term_title' option. rather obvious once i actually looked in the settings rather than skimming the documentation.
