Mythtvbackend daemon script not working correctly

Seems like mythbackend doesn't like to start for the first time, it started on bootup and i see

[maki@bebop ~]\$ ls /var/run/daemons
acpid     crond  hal  mpd     mythbackend  network   sensors
cherokee  dbus   kdm  mysqld  named        rsyslogd  sshd

But no process is started

[maki@bebop ~]\$ ps ax |grep mythbackend
 9510 pts/1    S+     0:00 grep mythbackend

After i restart the daemon i can see the process, and can use mythtv.

[maki@bebop ~]\$ ps ax |grep mythbackend
 9533 ?        Dsl    0:00 /usr/bin/mythbackend -d -l /var/log/mythbackend.log -v important
 9544 pts/1    D+     0:00 grep mythbackend

I'm using mythtv 0.21-2, also there is a pretty old bug report here http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/11890?string=mythtv
