How to enable user logged in status on gdm's login window

Back when I was running Ubuntu, the gdm authentication screen would show a status under a user name when set to face-browsing theme if the user was logged into a Gnome session.  I noticed that Arch doesn't do this by default.  Can someone suggest how I can enable this feature?  I looked through the login window preferences config box (System>Administration>Login WIndow) but found nothing.

Thanks!

I don't use GDM much, but have you looked in the configuration file, /etc/gdm/gdm.conf or whatever it is (something along those lines)? That may have something to do with it. Or you could post in Ubuntu's forums to ask what they did. And make sure your theme supports it.

Meh has new account! This one left behind for history's sake...
