What's up with Konqueror?

Isn't KHTML (Konquerors rendering engine) based on webkit, or perhaps the other way around?  Konqueor made an 87/100 on the Acid3, but it seems like it renders pages incorrectly a lot of the time, whereas other browsers do not.  The only two I can think of at the moment are facebook and gamedev.net (as well as a site that I'm working on at work, but I can't disclose it atm).  This is version 2.4.3 btw...

Re: What's up with Konqueror?

WebKit forked off of KHTML, yes.
Read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebKit and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KHTML for history and other such info.

Konqueror 4.3 will have a number of improvements, or so I have heard. Stuff from Dolphin, and a Firefox-style "Awesomebar".
KHTML/Konqueror also got a lot of bugfixes in 4.2.4 (I'm guessing you meant you have 4.2.3), so see if anything's fixed when you update (http://www.kde.org/announcements/change … o4_2_4.php).
