AUR + Bugzilla (some sort of)? Could be helpful!

Well, this is just my opinion but since I'm maintaining some PKGBUILDs in AND many users are very fast to find all the bugs I'd like to see implemented something like this:
a) Create a bug system like bugzilla (but guess it's not the only one....).
b) Give the PKGBUILD maintainer to write a simple changelog --> So when the bug has been fixed you can write in the changelog Bug n° xxxx fixed
My two cents but I think this system would give AUR a "professional appeal".
Cheers

What does this gain over comments in the AUR plus adding a ChangeLog to your package?

To keep the things more polished and professional (as I said). Sometimes the PKGBUILD has more than one bug. In case the maintainer won't read all the comments (because he is not used to do it all the times) he might leave out some comment or whatever...
Allan, this is just a suggestion...I'm not telling you to do :-)

I don't see any simple way to implement this (although it is definitely possible), but I've gotta say it would make the AUR cleaner. Especially if it was capable of notifying the maintainer of new/updated issues. Although the bugtracker does a good enough job with my community packages, the 71 packages I maintain in unsupported would me much easier to keep track of.

AUR source is available here if anyone wants to work this up. You could also submit a feature request in the bugtracker, under the AUR project, but I can guarantee you that it will get a lot more attention if at least some of the work is already done.
