[dmenu] How to update entries [solved]

Hello guys,

I installed unison on my laptop and want to access it via dmenu but dmenu doesn't list it under unison-gtk2.

On my desktop pc dmenu has that entry. Is there any possibility to update all the entries?

check the dmenu_path command, it updates the cache

unfortunately that helped nothing. But the strange thing is that unison will be launched when I completely type in unison-gtk2 but it's not suggested by dmenu.

i think dmenu_path only updates the cache if there are new directories found in the path. you can either delete ~/.dmenu_cache and re-run dmenu_path, or manually add unison-gtk2 to the cache file.
