Glest - stupid question [SOLVED]

I'll make this short and sweet:

I ran pacman -S glest which installed everything fine, but when I run "glest" from the terminal it says that the command is not found.

I guess this is a dumb question, but how the heck do I run this game?

Re: Glest - stupid question [SOLVED]

glest installs into /opt . /opt/glest/bin will be added to your $PATH when you login the next time, to start it now either state the full path (/opt/glest/bin/glest) or add it to your path manually by running /etc/profile.d/glest.sh.

Re: Glest - stupid question [SOLVED]

Well glest adds a .desktop file which can be seen from the gnome menu or the kde menu.  Glest installs into /opt which is kinda a failsafe for unknown apps.  Gentoo uses a special games (/usr/bin/games?) directory which would be nice if Arch got.  Anyways if you don't have a menu dealie you can just type '/opt/glest/./glest' or something like that to start it.  Most programs install to '/bin' or '/usr/bin'.  The shell (aka the terminal) has a known PATH variable that makes available programs '/usr/bin/' and '/bin'.  Anyways, off topic again smile  You can check out the list of files installed by a program with:

pacman -Ql <program-name>
