Dual head without X

This has probably been asked a million times, I've googled around and mostly found no answers, other than old patches for Matrox cards. I'm currently running Console only without Xorg, and I was wondering if it is possible to utilize dual head on my Radeon card.

Anyone achieved this or can point me towards some information?

Didn't really help in getting dual head set up, but it was a good read, so thanks. Also learnt that I can adjust my display brightness using vbetool which I'm unable to do normally since I have no ACPI
