Problems with Firefox 0.10.1 or Thunderbird 0.8? Look here.
I've been having much problems with these two upgrades:
* With Firefox, the left and right arrow keys wouldn't work
* With Thunderbird, my IMAP folders never loaded
Turns out this fixes both. The mail only talks about Firefox, but it applies to ~/.thunderbird as well.

I had the problem of the bookmark window not closing and not remembering where I had last sent a bookmark (using folders within the bookmark section).
I removed this same file: compreg.dat and it worked.

Yup, the same thing happened to me. The first time I tried this with firefox, it did not work, but then I tried it with thunderbird and then firefox. It worked the second time. I must have left firefox on or something the first time.
Anyway, this has worked for me. Thanks Tobbi, and Haakon, for letting me know how to fix this.
