Is there a good wiki for installing TV-Cards? I can't find any! I have a winfast 2000 card, anyone knows what I should do? And I might add that I know nothing about those cards, I haven't used one at all before, not even in windows!

i would check out the gossamer threads on mythtv.org...
the best tv card is a hauppauge pvr250.... the encoding is done on the card, meaning almost no cpu is used...
other than that mythtv has information about all this stuff (and when I get around to it, i'll make some myth tv packages for arch... it rocks!)

I had the same problem when I got a tv card....
altho my problem was really buying one with conexant chip which is pretty crappy at the moment in linux (ie.no sound).
I eventually got some bt878-based card from ebay. The kernel docs gave me a lot of hints about whether it would be supported, and what to do to get it to work. In the end, it was just a question of trial and error, in terms of passing the right parameters when insmodding the bttv modules.
I got some good bookmarks at home, I'll post them when I get there.

These may or may not be useful depending on your hardware but theres some interesting stuff amongst it all. don't forget also the v4l mailing list for any specific help - you might also try the mplayer mailing list if you're feeling brave.
