A simple question...

If I build a package with abs, will it be identical (bit-for-bit) to the precompiled one?

I wonder because there's a circular dependency between gcc and glibc.

get the latest glibc. It doesn't depend on anything, but it has HoldPkg in pacman.conf [and that's good]
