New warnings at boot-up

After last upgrade, I've got new warning messages at boot-up:

WARNING: All config files need .conf: /etc/modprobe/d/sound, it will be sgnored in future release
WARNING: All config files need .conf: /etc/modprobe/d/ndiswrapper, it will be sgnored in future release

and the like.

What does it mean?

Re: New warnings at boot-up

It means what it says: Your file 'sound' in /etc/modprobe.d/ should be called 'sound.conf', same for 'ndiswrapper'

Re: New warnings at boot-up

Do you know, what command or circunstance that /etc/modprobe.d/sound file is created?

$cat /etc/modprobe.d/sound
alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
alias sound-slot-0 snd-hda-intel

$pacman -Ql | grep /etc/modprobe.d/sound
don't return anything... :-(

Re: New warnings at boot-up

@alessandro_ufms: you're looking for the -Qo swith to pacman. But the file probably isn't installed by a package.

On Topic: Read the news on the archlinux webpage.

EDIT: wrong abbreviation...

alsaconf creates this: if you re-run alsaconf, it will make "sound.conf" instead of "sound" and the warning will go away
