wicd on startup question

I can only get wicd to start if I "sudo wicd"  anyway to not have to be sudo to run it? I would like to just start it with my session with no pass required

Re: wicd on startup question

Add it to Daemons in your /etc/rc.conf and it will start on boot...

Re: wicd on startup question

Kind of strange, but i only managed to get wicd working automatically when i boot into Arch by adding

wicd

to /etc/rc.local and making it executable with

sudo chmod a+x /etc/rc.local
sudo chmod 777 /etc/rc.local

and adding

wicd-client &

to ~/.config/openbox/autostart.sh

All other methods never worked for me, even though on boot i saw a message that wicd daemon has been started.
