.gvfs directory

Just wondering what this is about, I can't seem to find anyone with the exact problem I have

In my home directory I have a .gvfs directory which is described as follows with a ls -al command

d?????????  ? ?    ?              ?                ? .gvfs

I can't delete it or go into it or anything, not even as root. Saw some stuff about not being able to enter this directory as root anyway, but I can't tell who is the owner for all the question marks.

Guess its not hurting anything, but I would like to know whats going on if anyone can enlighten me.
