How to change X11 resolution

Hello, I recently installed arch linux and am liking it so far.  However, I have been having trouble changing the screen resolution.  By following the wiki, I installed xorg and hal.  All the instructions I have found to change the screen resolution have involved xorg.conf, which I am not using.  If it matters I am using fluxbox.  If there is some nice, easy gui I could install to manage the resolution that would be great; if not does anybody have any advice?
     Thanks

Re: How to change X11 resolution

Try this

 xrandr

and then from that output

xrandr -s <size>/<width>x<height>

replacing it for the size or widthxheight for example

xrandr -s 3

or xrandr -s 1024x768

You can also give arandr a try. You can find it on AUR.
