Nvidia 185.18 Log Out Regression

Hi,

It seems that I am once again experiencing the bug detailed here -> http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=61438
Only the fix that worked for previous nVidia versions no longer works for me.

Basically when I log out, there is a period of ~30-40 seconds where the X tries to start it self up again, switching back and forth between a brief console log in and a blank screen. Then the "X failed to start" screen appears, asking if you would like to see a detailed output of the error.

This problem is compounded as when I shutdown from the gnome menu, it brings me to GDM instead causing the action detailed above (which I believe to be a separate issue w/ Gnome and GDM, which I have not found the fix for as of yet). I am shutting down from terminal in the meantime - but it would be nice to see a resolution for this issue.
