I just installed the latest version of wine using the pkgbuild after that I went to install winetricks from the pkgbuild and it says that it cant because bin32-wine isnt in the syncdb. How can I fix this?

Works for me.

Post the exact error message and the output of "pacman -Qs wine".

I can only guess but I think you did not install bin32-win but only ran makepkg. Did you really do a successfull pacman -U <path>/bin32-win-* after building?

I downloaded the newest pkgbuilds of wine and winetricks and wine installed fine but for some reason winetricks didnt pass a validity test...

Run
makepkg -g >> PKGBUILD
, delete the old md5sum in the PKGBUILD and retry. The file to be downloaded does not have a version number in it's name.
