[solved] arch + flux = crappy outlook?

I installed qt4 and gtk2, but firefox still looks like windows 95. skype looks fine. I tried switching qt themes, no effect on firefox, so I guess firefox uses gtk, how do I make it look good?

Are you talking about the window decorations or the inside of Firefox? If you are talking about the inside you can download themes from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:2

its not a theme issue, this is a default theme

The best non-gnome gtk2 theme (which firefox uses indeed) editor imo is lxappearance. Install and run that. For some bizarre reason for me, it won't work (theme won't change on clicking save) unless I run it with sudo, but try it without doing such first. You can also change the icons there if you have an icon theme in ~/.icons or /usr/share/icons.

Further info and another link (for qt stuff if needed) at the bottom. Please search the wiki before asking questions, the majority of potential questions are answered there somewhere.

Also, pacman -Qi packageName will show you dependencies a package has along with other info. It will obviously tell you if it uses gtk1, gtk2, gnome, qt, kde, whatever.
