xterm issue

Dear all,

I installed X and configured it using nvidia-config. When I start the xterm and type, it would type the pressed character three times , also the backspace would erse three character at onde. I'm sure it's a silly problem but I can't figure out what is wrong.

Thanks for the reply. I tried this solution before, my touch pad won't work (I'm using a notebook). Only plugged mice would work (due to hot plugging).

I got it! I previously installed multiple drivers for my keyboard. Removing redundancy solved the problem. Thanks again.
