So I have an old Absolute Poker account which I'd like to start utilizing again. Unfortunately since I've switched to linux I've yet to find an adequate way to do this. Recently I found out there's a "no download" option for mac/linux users. It requires java and I already have openjdk6 so I figure why not. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working at all. Icedtea doesn't even launch. I'm not quite sure what's going on, because about:plugins tells me that I have it up and running. I even had top running in a terminal and Icedtea didn't even pop up. Anybody know what's going on?
Thanks,
--Wes
*Edit*
I ran firefox in terminal and tried again to see if any bugs appeared and I got this when I tried to open the java file again:
(firefox-bin:6393): Gdk-WARNING **: XID collision, trouble ahead
netx: No base directory (contains cache and other data)
The firefox-bin thing kept appearing, I doubt it has anything to do with Icedtea but it may.

According to the workaround in the link you provided I'm supposed to modify a file, ".netxrc", which I cannot find anywhere. Anyone find anything else?

Looks like you need to create it at ~/.netxrc
It also seems like you need to
mkdir ~/.netx

I have ~/.netx so I don't think I need to make that, but does ~/.netxrc need to have anything in it beside the basedir=~/.netx line?
Edit
Nevermind I got it to work via the above method that I was asking about. Next time I'll be sure to google before I post anything here. Thank you very much.
