virtualbox 2.2-4 kernel 2.6.30

hi, when i try to start a virtual machine in virtualbox i've an error message, i think because i need to setup vboxdrv after update the kernel.
But the command "/etc/rc.d/rc.vboxdrv setup" no founf, "no such file or directory".

thanks

I think it's been
vbox_build_module
for a while now, (but I too still get that irritating info from vbox.)

You need the message pacman gave when you installed it, which should still be in /var/log/pacman.log

If you've installed virtualbox_bin then you'll need to install it again. 64bit users would have this package installed.

Actually, you can and should install the latest version. I have it, and it works fine. Anytime you get the above message, just run vbox_build_module as root to rebuild the modules for the particular kernel that's just been updated. Its functionally equivalent to /etc/rc.d/rc.vboxdrv setup (which is what Sun assumes everyone will use, but which Arch doesn't).

And after you run vbox_build_module, don't forget to

sudo modprobe -r vboxdrv && sudo modprobe vboxdrv

thus avoiding a reboot smile
