iPod will not mount with Thunar

I plugged in my iPod into my netbook, and I usually have to open Thunar (the file manager I use) and right click on the device and select "Mount Volume". Well, I tried that, and I get this error message:

Failed to mount "JOHN'S IPOD".

org.freedesktop.hal.storage.mount-removable no <-- (action, result).

Any clue what I should do?
