mouse stops working after a while

So I would boot my computer. It would work great for a long time.
Then the mouse would stop responding. The keyboard would still work.
Replugging the mouse (even to a different port) would make no difference.
X would hang when I would try exiting it and I would be forced to press the reset button.

It happened three times already in the last three days and never before that.
I am afraid that it will become annoying if I don't fix it.
I did nothing special but daily system updates with "testing" enabled.

I am running a stock 2.6.30 kernel and my MOD_AUTOLOAD="yes"

I will post relevant information if you tell me what is relevant.

Thanks a bunch in advance.

Re: mouse stops working after a while

Or try it without xorg.conf.

Is there any relevant in the kernel /var/log/messages.log ?

What kind of mouse is this? Usb/Ps2 ? Is it work with the x version from a livecd, chakra e.g. ? What's in the xorg.log error.log ? Did you use pacman -Syu too?
