wmix fails

Whenever I try and run wmix I get the following error:

wmix: malloc.c:3074: sYSMALLOc: Assertion `(old_top == (((mbinptr) (((char *) &((av)->bins[((1) - 1) * 2])) - __builtin_offsetof (struct malloc_chunk, fd)))) && old_size == 0) || ((unsigned long) (old_size) >= (unsigned long)((((__builtin_offsetof (struct malloc_chunk, fd_nextsize))+((2 * (sizeof(size_t))) - 1)) & ~((2 * (sizeof(size_t))) - 1))) && ((old_top)->size & 0x1) && ((unsigned long)old_end & pagemask) == 0)' failed.
Aborted

I have tried rebuilding it via abs and ahve simply got the same results...

Any ideas?

Same here. Wmix stopped woking after some 2.6.29.x update. I've searched for an alternative and stopped with conky showing the volume level and multimedia keys to adjust it.

I've also searched for an alternative and, so far, have not been happy with any of them...

Looks like wmix was updated today and the issue is fixed.
