Hello,
I'm using xfce-4.0.6 and I have installed gnomemeeting. When I type the command line "gnomemeeting" I see this:
[root@myhost eric]# /opt/gnome/bin/gnomemeeting
/opt/gnome/bin/gnomemeeting: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: no version information ava
ilable (required by /opt/gnome/bin/gnomemeeting)
Then, gnomemeeting starts with a Gconf error. I went to this page: http://www.gnomemeeting.org/index.php?r … tml#AEN418
I did try this:
$ chmod -R 4755 /opt/gnome/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults/
$ killall -9 gconfd-2
But the problem is still there. Any suggestions?
Thanks

the libstdc++ error is unrelated - alot of apps do that not... it has soemthing to do with a recent gcc change.... but it's just a warning... the gconf error is most likely something different
what does "gconftool-2 --get-default-source" give you?
did you make any recent gconf changes? did you modify anything by hand?

Thanks for your fast reply! Here is what I get:
~
eric -> gconftool-2 --get-default-source
xml::/opt/gnome/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults
This is a fresh install of Arch and I didn't modify anything by hand.

Try 'gnomemeeting-config-tool --fix-permissions' as root.
