resolution with Intel 945GME

Hey Forum.

I'm using a ASUS B202 as a frontend for my MythTv-setup in my house.
I've just bought a new 42" LCD TV - with HDMI input FULLHD etc.
My hardware:

00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GME Express Memory Controller Hub (rev 03)
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GME Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)
00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/GME, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)

I have tried almost everything here - but just getting 1368x768 as the best resolution. And can only make the output work - If I changed the DVI-output over to VGA and then into the TV.
I have a DVI-HDMI cable but there's just no signal or anything - when using this.

Have anybody an idea of what to du to make a better resolution - hoping 1920x1080 -> Since the TV can handle it.
Normally Xorg configure's it self but not this time - I cqannot get a picture through the HDMI.
Would a Xorg.conf file be able to solve my problem - normally this ain't been using through the automaticly configuration of Xorg.
I have testet some setup's but just keep getting blanc screen. So would like to hear if someone else have managed to make this work???

TIA
PBJ

Re: resolution with Intel 945GME

The TV is a Medion MD30312 42" MPEG4 tuner and FULL-HD !
But when I starting off with ther DVI-> HDMI it shows everything in the boot up til you log in to gnome - then nothing more happens lost signal.
My Xorg.0.log doesn't show any errors? So I'm thinking this must be the problems with the INTEL driver.

But Xorg is testing the 1920x1080 resolution, but only in 60mhz where the TV is 100mhz -> Not sure if this has anything to do with it - But it'll work fine using VGA and 1368x768
