Front and rear sound output panel

Hello I am trying to get my both sound output panel works - rear on back of my case and front panel, which is already working. but still cant get any sound from rear panel..

cat /proc/asound/cards
0 [Intel ]: HDA-Intel - HDA Intel
HDA Intel at 0xf9ff8000 irq 22
lspci | grep -i audio
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 02)

currently iam on alsa but iam wondering if it will be better to try eg pulseaudio or something else.
Is there any chance to get sound from rear output when front is disconected?
or to have two separate outputs?

Thanks

Re: Front and rear sound output panel

Yes, you can separate front and read. i did with:

http://alsa.opensrc.org/index.php/Asoun … ar_outputs

It works for me. i have the same sound card. It only seems to work with pure alsa Not with pulseaudio.

I read the pulseaudio arch wiki page:
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PulseAudio

but i can't get separate front and rear sink.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.
