What is the correct way to set GTK/QT theme for a uniform look in KDE4

Ideally, I would be able to have all my QT and GTK apps use whatever GTK theme I've selected (I prefer the way GTK themes look, but I prefer QT apps on the whole).  As per the KDE4 wiki, I've installed qtcurve-gtk2 and qtcurve-kde4 and used lx appearance to change gtk theme, but this doesn't affect my KDE4/QT apps such as Amarok or Konqueror.

What can I do to get a uniform look between apps?

Just set kde4 to use Qtcurve in systemsettings (kde control panel), and lxappearance for gtk2 themes to qtcurve. KDE will apply the system color scheme to it, so if the widget styles are the same engine, it will look nearly identical (i say nearly because of nitpickers).

Or you can also set kde4 in the above to "gtk+" widget style since you prefer the gtk look.
