Hi,
Whenever I start any OpenOffice.org application, the application window opens maximized, but immediately resizes to a small size. It's irritating to always maximize the window manually. I found this problem with KDE only. LXDE remembers the size / position of the windows correctly, but not KDE. In KDE using the Special application / window settings, I have tried to set maximize horizontal / vertical to Remember or Force, but it has no effect the next time another OOo window opens. After setting it up, I also logged out or restarted the PC, but no matter what I do, the OOo windows always get resized after they open.
Could someone please help?
Thanks in Advance.

Maybe it's Kwin that's doing it, if you have it on try to take it of temporarily Atl-Shift-f12.

This happens to me, too, but only when I have two monitors (an external monitor connected to my laptop). When it's just the laptop by itself, OO.o windows open maximized as I expect. Maybe it's a problem with Twinview handling in KDE?

Ya, I too think it's Kwin. But I dont have such problem with any other application. Only OOo is affected. Hence, I tried to use Special Application/Window settings for OOo in Kwin, but it doesnt help.
Anyway, I hope that I wont get the problem in KDE 4.3.

I now suspect that the problem was in go-OOo, as it has now been fixed after go-openoffice was updated.
