KDE usability tests

Hi there,

KDE's Oxygen team needs your help for icon selections. Please take 3 minutes to go through the surveys and choose what you consider to be the best icons:
http://www.oxygen-icons.org/survey/

Current survey is for K3B, KDE CD burner.

Re: KDE usability tests

Done.

Will the KDE/Oxygen team be doing these often?

(07/10/2009)

... to answer my own question, I reckon they will be conducting a new survey every 15 days or so (http://pinheiro-kde.blogspot.com/2009/07/take-test.html).  Pretty cool!

Can't say whether it's useful to anybody, though.

Well, I guess if it's there, it's useful to developpers. I also think it's a nice and easy way to involve average users into development.
Every now and then, some KDE devs use their blogs to ask people's opinions about things and others, mainly usability-oriented. This new tool helps them to figure out what users want, and gives them statistics.

Personnally, I'd appreciate to have similar surveys on other topics (no just icons) as well.

Re: KDE usability tests

Done.  I like what they're doing here.

I only hope that they end up extending this to some of their choices for menu layouts in the future.
