question about arch linux packages name convention?

Hi, there,

I need to install imlib2-dev and I found imlib2-1.4.2-2. I know dev version could include headers file for compile purpose.
But I couldn't find imlib2-1.4.2-2-dev or imlib2-dev.

Is this the correct name convention for development version of packages with arch linux, xx-dev?

Thanks very much for help,
Mike

Re: question about arch linux packages name convention?

arch doesn't split packages in lib,-dev, whatever. the package that are you searching is imlib2

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
