After a pacman -Suy, amsn isn't in the repos. No results from the package search on the Arch home page either?
# ls /var/lib/pacman/sync/community/amsn-0.97.2-13/ -l

your mirror is a bit slow with getting updates. try finding an up to date mirror. personally i use mir2.archlinuxfr.org.
like a side note, arch home search is only for core/extra/testing and for community packages you have to search them trough aur interface.
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Thanks. I had the same problem yesterday (mirrors had amsn in the list but not the package) so left it another 24 hours. I have two mirrors, ftp.hosteurope.de and ftp.belnet.be. They're fast and usually updated regularly, but adding your's worked.
