I just did a fresh install of Arch on my server, and the network is up and working fine, but when I try to sync pacman I get a "Transient resolver failure" error for each repository. The mirror isn't down, because I can ping it with no problem.
[root@flash ~]# pacman -Sy

Yes. Try another mirror, that one might be in the middle of syncing.
A little bit of forum searching would have told you the same, I suggest you take that into account next time you post such stuff

Well darn, I feel stupid now. I didn't mention that I had already tried this on 3 other mirrors and I had ruled out the mirror as being the issue, so as a last ditch effort I just uncommented every US server in my mirrorlist, and of course the second one worked. Thanks anyway. ![]()
