I  removed  unixodbc and installed iodbc and the thing start working (!?) magically..apr-utils complains about that
but maybe just need a recompilation.

Re: kde-snapshot repo

Hej
First, thanks for the packages.
One thing is surprising though. How is it possible that I almost didn't have any crash before beta1 and now everything is crashing?
Plasma frequently crashes, nepomuk and akonadi not working at all, knetworkmanager as well as changing something in the panel kill plasma.
Unfortunately, reporting the bugs is impossible cause the wizard complains it has to install some debugging tools without letting me know that that might be. gdb is installed btw.

yaourt -Rscn kde
yaourt -S kdebase

Sorry, I meant no crash with the svn version, not with normal kde.

Re: kde-snapshot repo

The Nepomuk Version provided in the repos is not ready...

The latest one is much more better (4.3.80svn1056429-1). But its still crashing for me on many folders...

Does anybody know how to debug nepomuk?

Yes, but I wanted it unstripped :-D

But I'll just build it myself, I need to fix the Phonon kde-qt patches anyways... (so people can enjoy better pulseaudio support and whatnot, even if Qt is being slow about importing new Phonons :-D).

Re: kde-snapshot repo

One question about makepkg/split-pkges/makedepends.

I am not really sure how to deal the correct way with some dependendys.

The case:
-If I add a depends line to the "parental-PKGBUILD" will these dependencys be installed by makepkg -s before build or does it only       install the ones from the makedepends line?

-If I have no depends line in the "parent" configuration, but many depends in the different split-build-definitions, how to deal with them the correct way? Make a parental line depends with all these dependencies or add all dependencies of the splitbuilds to the parental makedepends line?

I am little bit confused here which packages noe really get installed before build and which not...

Re: kde-snapshot repo

Just wanted to say "thank you" for providing this repo. Finally a painless way to eat my own dogfood (patches to kdelibs).

Though I also got lots of crashes in QtScript.so with an activated lyrics plugin in Amarok.

Re: kde-snapshot repo

Does anyone have a working strigi/nepomuk? Strigi doesnÄt like me since kde 4.1. It creates an index that crows. but tells me that there are no files in it....

I get that very weird backtrace, someones an idea?
** glibc detected *** /usr/bin/nepomukservicestub: free(): invalid pointer: 0x0000000000a73080 ***

un der Konsolen output:

[/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub] "/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub(3732)" Error in thread 140352745260816 : "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownObject - No such object path '/org/soprano/Server/models/main'"

is das ein interner Fehler oder tritt der nur bei mir auf?

Info: I stopped nepomuk over dbus, deleted its index dir  and did a nepomukserver &>nepomuk.stderr .... that will make backtraces and the console output for you.... Maybe somebody could also look at it, I created a bug, but it is not confirmed so far....

What package is nepomukservicestub in anyway? Can't see it in kdebase-runtime.

Thanks for the repo.

I take it that you just enabled the repository and then issued a 'pacman -Syu' ?
You will need to issue a 'pacman -Sfyu' to force the installation of the packages.

Re: kde-snapshot repo

Hi folks,

@lucke: It is owned by kdebase-runtime, try to reinstall the package.

@sandsmark: Ah, sorry...well I think we won't provide unstripped Qt, we are going to build against Qt from [testing]/[extra] (as soon as Pierre moves it in there) and this package will be stripped.

@all: Thanks for your support guys, we appreciate it!

@deej: I know how to overcome this error. But still, this is an error, and having to run pacman with -f is not a solution.

There isn't an easy way to install these packages alongside the stable KDE from the repo is there?

Re: kde-snapshot repo

@ProgDan, first of all, great work, thank you for maintaining this nice repo!
I wanted to ask you, could you please consider shipping QtCreator 1.3 too in the kde-4.4-unstable repo? You do package Qt 4.6 and QtCreator is released alongside Qt, and it would be nice to have a QtCreator that uses the main Qt in the system instead of the static build.
Oh, and qt-doc would be nice to have too if it's not too much trouble smile

Re: kde-snapshot repo

@dalingrin: No, this repo is replacement of the stable KDE

@teo: Sorry, probably no. Since Qt 4.6 was released stable it's just a matter of time until it hits [testing] and later [extra]. And QtCreator will go alongside with Qt. Please be patient and wait for it :-) Also I really don't have enough computing performance (I'm building on Intel Core2 Duo 1.5MHz on laptop) to build all these thing in reasonable time (=weekend) for both archs.

Re: kde-snapshot repo

Hello there, first thanks for your big work Progdan, and hope someday i'll be able to help you.
But now i'm facing problem with my fresh kde 4.4 install.
I got this message:
"/sbin/ldconfig: /usr/lib/libmessagecore.so.4 is not a symbolic link"
i check my pc and no libmessagecore.so.4 how could i install it.
When i logon the screen go black and return to kdm.
Last but not least trying startx will give me a black desktop with only the mouse pointer.

Does anybody know how to solve that?
I'll give him a beer or tamarin juice if he come to gwadloup
