Re: kde-snapshot repo

You should name your base-group for the desktop "kde-unstable" instead of "kde". It seems as if pacman can't handle groups in this regard, and tries to install [extra] and [kde-4.4-unstable] things.

I'll install [kde-meta] now and try if that works out as well big_smile ... thanks for the repo, if it works, it's worth gold (and I hope there will be one for 4.5 in time too big_smile).

Re: kde-snapshot repo

Hmh, I've a certain problem installing 4.4, the same problem I have with [extra]. A package is missing.

1.) <edit> invalid, content filter didn't like it.

2.) Installing kdebase only, virtuoso-opensource conflicts with unixodbc (which is a depend of apr-util, conflicting file: /usr/bin/isql).

3.) As mentioned above, you should give the groups different names than the kde groups in extra. It seems as if pacman won't split them properly. I installed kde-meta then, and still, there's a problem that old packages are installing, because the group have packages (kxsldbg in example) which don't exist built from trunk

PS: I'd also like to try to get this my little fancy runner (http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=26598) to KDE 4.4 - any ideas how should I do it? :-) Thanks

Since we're feature frozen (that's why we released SC 4.4 beta 1) no new features can get in, including runnoers - even if they're very fancy ;-)

You might still try and send an email to the plasma-devel@kde.org mailinglist, maybe they ok it because you developed it out-of-tree but I wouldn't count on it. Still you should of course contact that list, ask for comments/review and possible incusion. This will most likely end up in kde-extragear or something, which in practice often gets shipped with final KDE SC releases by the distributions anyway...

Re: kde-snapshot repo

@STiAT: Ok, we will move the group in next release.

@superstoned: I see, this was a long long time ago but I found out that there was already much better runner with same (more!) functions waiting in playground :-)

Re: kde-snapshot repo

yay! Alt-Tab is back here! Do you previously messed up with plasma-netbook? Maybe this will do the trick:
kwin --replace &
I don't know how but it's working now

ProgDan, are the PKGBUILDs that you use published anywhere?

Re: kde-snapshot repo

Hi guys sorry to hijack the thread but maybe someone can help me. I just started using this repo yesterday and its awesome but my smplayer is broken. i try to launch mplayer and i get "mplayer: /usr/lib/libkrb5.so.25: version `HEIMDAL_KRB5_1.0' not found (required by /usr/lib/libsmbclient.so.0)"

Im guessing somethings wrong with heimdal.

EDIT: Fixed by installing new smbclient.

Re: kde-snapshot repo

@mangus: I can confirm, restarting kwin reenables global shortcuts (hooooraaaayyyy) - but I didn't even try netbook plasma big_smile

@ffjia: definetely - see workaround above

@dalingrin: I will publish them soon together with updated SolidSnake's scripts. I'll post link here.

@lkpgwada: your xorg.log looks OK, I really don't know what could cause your troubles. Did you try stable KDE?

Re: kde-snapshot repo

@heaven: kdegames were not built (for unknown reason) and I didn't noticed it. You are running old 4.3.80 which are build against another Qt and therefore it crashes. I will probably won't have time to built 4.3.82 so I will run the build for 4.3.81 and update the repo.

@kanim: please, which files exactly conflict? If only icons (graphics) please ignore and use -f switch in pacman. This is common issue in trunk builds.

You mean that .82 has been released ? I'm waiting for a fix for Dolphin that has just passed to trunk.

Re: kde-snapshot repo

Nope, snapshots are released on Saturday, but I have my prom that day and I write a test in school on Monday which I must learn for so I won't have enough time to build it.  :-)

I only updated the old PKGBUILDs I used for building the kde-4.3 unstable packages, but if you were interested I could use Pierre's splitted PKGBUILDs (see the kde-unstable repo). What do you think about?

This link does not work, is there no i686 version?
