cannot open share object file

Hello!
When I used "pacman -S firefox" to install the firefox, it say, "cannot open share object file", and I can not reboot the System. Please tell me the way to solve the problem.
Thanks.

Re: cannot open share object file

My guess is that it is a readline issue (and you really used "pacman -Sy firefox").

A forum search will find you many threads about this.

Re: cannot open share object file

Interesting. Can you try it install manually , and see config.log .e.g which shared object is missing? And maybe syslog, or ldd -r binaryfile say you which so is undefined or missing.
