yet another xfce icon problem

Hi

Ive got fresh install of arch+xorg+xfce4.6.
There are no icons whatsoever => so Ive installed tango / gnome themes.
When I select them in the settings menu of xfce nothing happens... (though both themes are on the list)
I cant really use the X because of that (thunar wont even start).

Can you please help?

Did you install icon-naming-utils?

Re: yet another xfce icon problem

That's right. Both icon-naming-utils and hicolor-icon-theme are installed as dependencies for gnome-icon-theme.
Seems strange as these packages are the only ones i've installed and it's working fine.

I'm using this theme:

Try lxappearance.

Re: yet another xfce icon problem

How did you install xfce ? Did you install the whole group and xfce4-goodies ?

BTW lxappearance is a theme switcher for the lxde desktop, not required by xfce.
