Hi,
I recently installed Arch (KDE 4 unstable, everything updated from testing repo) on a Belinea o'book 4 ( http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/laptops/belinea-o-book-4/ ) and I ran into a few problems:
-------------------------
* strange behavior of power manager:
sometimes the battery indicator will show an empty battery in the tray. When clicking on it, it says "100 % charged". When the power cable is removed the laptop keeps running so the battery is obviously working.
the laptop will suspend by itself - i suspect this is happening because power manager thinks the battery is empty.
-------------------------
* resume doesn't work:
Suspend seems to work ok - the logs only show one error in 98smart-kernel-video, something like "add_parameters - command not found".
After suspend, the power LED is blinking, so everything is as expected.
When pushing the power button, the laptop powers on and makes cdrom/harddisk noises for 2-3 seconds, then turns off again. This time, the power LED is NOT blinking, it looks like it's powered off.
After pushing the power button a second time, the laptop turns on and stays on - sometimes with hard disk activity - but always with a black screen. Keyboard LEDs like Caps Lock + Num Lock do not respond.
-------------------------
I've tried uswsusp, pm-utils, echo "mem" > /sys/.... . I tried adding the resume hook to mkinitcpio.conf, then uresume (with uswsusp). No deal. Always the same behavior.
Is there a solution for this? This is my mothers laptop and I'd like to provide a good linux experience.
Many thanks,
schuay

As far as I can tell the resume issue isn't related to any specific package from testing (I get the same behavior from uswsusp/pm-suspend/echo mem > .... ).
