Sorry that I can't help with the problem, but "lame output buffer too small" just took second place for greatest thread subjects, just behind the one about "big ASS subtitles" in vlc.

This is a known bug in LAME 3.98. Usually the output plays fine. You can remove the error by using LAME 3.97 or possibly with 3.99 "alpha" although I haven't tried this version myself.

but how do I install version 3.97, I can not remove the version 3.98 causes addiction, and if installed above the 3.97 taken from the official website ffmpeg continues to see the version of pacman ...

I've uploaded lame-3.97-1 package to AUR. You will have to delete gstreamer0.10-ugly-plugins because it needs lame-3.98.2.
