UT2004 freezing
Hi
After some time I wanted to play unreal again. However, the game keeps freezing. If I set the graphics details to lowest settings the game freezes either when it's loading a map or when I press FIRE to start the match. After that I have to do a hard reset. If I have default graphics settings I get SEG FAULT and the system keeps working.
I have ATI X1650 and am using opensource radeon drivers.
Any ideas?

Did you try the binary ati-driver too, with 3d acceleration ? Does it work with other games? Which kernel do you use, not a testing ?

I think my card is too old for the fglrx driver. I tried also Nexuiz and am also experiencing all kinds of problems. I only use stock stuff. I should probably do the sensible thing and get rid of this ati junk. Nothing but problems all the time...
