Im not sure if this is the right place to post this...
on my old motherboard , when i installed Arch. the installer used hardware detect to make the initial ram disk specific for that computer.
NOw i have updated my motherboard, the initial ram disk is still the same 1 as created during the install.
during boot, the loading inital ram disk, used to take almost no time atal, now it takes longer then it used to.
Is there a way for me to run the hardware detection to make the initial ram disk better suited to the new motherboard?
Thanks Markp1989

mkinitcpio will do that for you. Read the man page, wiki page, and/or mkinitcpio -h for details.
