google gadgets

So. . .i installed google-gadgets from aur with yaourt, and google gadgets fails to start because of this:

Program can't start because it failed to load the following module(s):  js-script-runtime

hmmm. . .any help would be nice. thanks !

(If it's as simple as a package not being installed, feel free to call me a knucklehead.)

Re: google gadgets

Did you try to install it manually with makepkg -si, or with manually without any archlinux specific program?

Re: google gadgets

This has nothing to do with the testing repo - moved to the AUR board.

Re: google gadgets

well use sane logic , you are missing a dependency or need to modprobe an module

Re: google gadgets

What do you mean with "missing a dependency" or which module I have to modprobe?

# modprobe js-script-runtime
WARNING: All config files need .conf: /etc/modprobe.d/ndiswrapper, it will be ignored in a future release.
WARNING: All config files need .conf: /etc/modprobe.d/framebuffer_blacklist.pacsave, it will be ignored in a future release.
FATAL: Module js_script_runtime not found.

Re: google gadgets

I get the same error. Running KDEmod. But I can go to the cashew in the top right corner, go to install widgets. In the box that comes up I can go to the drop down list at the bottom where it says Install new Widgets. Google Gadgets is listed there and it will bring up all of the google gadgets that are available.

Re: google gadgets

I managed to track down a patch that was posted on the google-gadgets website that fixed things for the 0.11.0 version. It seems to be working for me without the patch with 0.11.1 though.
