Run system or applications from ram

Is there a way to run arch from the computer ram? i mean, to have the entire system in the hard disk, but to load it fully to ram at boot. Because i tryed a couple of distros that boot and load in ram and the speed was amazing, i started to think if this is possible with arch, or if this possibility is "configured" in the system design itself, rather than something you can achieve at the installation or after.

(this is preload - seems to be a good option also as it speeds up programs by prefetching them)
