Hi,
I have a Sony Vaio VGN-Sr21M, I have just upgrade to Kde 4.3, I follow the wiki about suspend2Ram and to disk, but I have some problem.
About suspend2Disk, it seems to work without problem, even if I would like to find a way to install some kind of graphic screen during suspend/resume, any advice?
About suspend2RAM it doens't work, or better it goes in sleep but capslok and scrollblock leds are blinking, the monitor is not shutdown as the machine. then if I try to resume it doesnt work. The funny thing is that in Kde4.2 it works.
Another problem I find after upgrade is that after logging in kde4.3, and loading some little application at startup, like yakuake and katapult, the machine still load data for a long tim more then 60sec with kded4 at the top of the process, even if it doesn't use 100% cpu.
Any good advice?
thanks a lot

didn't you upgrade your kernel ? Could you check if hibernation/suspending2ram works with
sudo pm-hibernate or
sudo pm-susped
I suppose you use the KDe gui for that , so with this you can test if that''s not broken/bugged/wrong.
For more information about hibernation etc. look at the pm-utils wiki .

Hi,
pm-suspend doesn't work, pm-hibernate works.
I forget to say I use ATi proprietary driver.
thanks a lot

No pm-suspend (to ram) doesn't work neither from console, nor from KDE gui, while pm-hibernate works both from console both from kdegui.
I already read the wiki about pm-utils but no success
thanks
PS: I just upgrade to catalyst 9.7.2 with xorg-server-catalyst and now neither susped to disk works
