Pacman fails shaman: requires pacman<3.3

Hey,
I was trying to update my system today:
pacman -Syu

:: The following packages should be upgraded first :
    pacman
:: Do you want to cancel the current operation
:: and upgrade these packages now? [Y/n] Y

resolving dependencies...
looking for inter-conflicts...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: shaman: requires pacman<3.3

Any ideas what is going wrong?
Thanks for help and time.

shaman is not updated to work with the current pacman version.  Either uninstall it or wait...

Re: Pacman fails shaman: requires pacman<3.3

That is quite simple: Shaman cannot cope with the newest pacman release (yet). Shaman is an unofficial community contribution. Use pacman on the CLI, until Shaman has been updated. Maybe you even have deinstall shaman for a few weeks or so, to get an update running.

Edit: Yeah, you cannot Allan beat on this - but some day, I will invite him for a game of chess - or an ikebana contest ...
