openntpd - changing the polling frequency

By default, it looks like openntpd polls time servers every 7-10 seconds... can it be tweaked to do so at another (longer) time interval?

Seems like there's nothing in the config file or the program options...maybe you could tweak the program itself and work in your custom interval. It seems like the program's supposed to adjust based on how off you are for how frequently it polls.
